Sly Cooper is a master thief, hailing from a long line of thieves. Charming, clever, and daring, this sneaky raccoon holds true to his own peculiar moral code--he only steals from other criminals, and values his friends and companions above all else. Armed with his trademark cane, the reflexes and agility of a ninja, a mastery of disguise, and a knack for thinking on his feet, Sly is determined to honor the Cooper legacy, and show other would-be thieves just how it's really done.

Bentley is one of Sly's childhood friends from the orphanage, and serves as the figurative brains of the Cooper Gang. While he can be something of a worrier and a stickler for details, Bentley is a genius with computers and explosives. He serves as the hacker, and demolitions expert of the Cooper Gang, taking to the field in a high-tech wheelchair to make up for his physical shortcomings. Ever the thinker, it's Bentley's know-how that helps set up some of the more complicated heists that the Cooper Gang pulls off.

Murray is another one of Sly's friends from his days at an orphanage, and the one who serves as the getaway driver and strongman for the Cooper Gang. Though he's far from the brightest or the most agile, this rotund-yet-burly hippo is steadfastly loyal to his friends, and would hurl himself against impossible odds if it meant helping them. A boisterous bruiser with a big appetite, Murray prefers to take the direct approach when it comes to dealing with problems--which typically involves him punching things. A lot.

Inspector Carmelita Montoya Fox is a hot-blooded fourth-generation cop, and one of Interpol's more decorated officers. Her stance on crime is rather black-and-white; to her, criminals are meant to be arrested without exception. Though she's busted her share of criminals, her biggest case is Sly Cooper--the one thief who keeps eluding her at every turn. Armed with her trusty Shock Pistol, Carmelita has chased him all over the globe, determined to put him behind bars. Despite this, Sly has helped her out more than once in the past--and despite her narrow-minded view on the law, there might be more to Carmelita's obsession with him than even she herself realizes...

Penelope has gained a rather infamous reputation on the criminal website ThiefNet as an expert mechanic and remote--control specialist. Though she previously acted as the head of maintenance for the ace pilot and dogfighter known as the Black Baron, this brilliant mouse was convinced to join the Cooper Gang for one of their major capers. Her skills as an inventor are nothing to be taken lightly; her capacity for developing custom-designed gadgets and vehicles rivals Bentley's own tinkering expertise. It is this mutual genius that drew their attention to one another; they've been established as a dating couple for a while...

The Guru is an aboriginal shaman hailing from the Australian outback. As a follower of the mystical Dreamtime, this ancient koala has honed a unique form of spiritual magic. Among his purported feats are the ability to control the minds of others, the power to become one with his surrounding environment, and even a potent form of telekinesis! As a pacifist and hermit, the Guru is wise and humble, preferring a life of seclusion and meditation...however, when the Cooper Gang helped him drive poachers away from Ayers' Rock, he repaid their kindness by lending his mystical abilities to their cause for a time.
The Fiendish Five:

Clockwerk is the mysterious leader of the criminal gang known as the Fiendish Five, who orchestrated the attack on Sly's home when he was eight years old. For the rest of the Five, it was the chance to seize the vaunted Thievious Raccoonus...but for Clockwerk, it was more personal. In truth, the sinister owl was an immortal who had haunted the Cooper lineage across the centuries as their arch-rival, keeping himself alive through cybernetic augmentation and pure hatred. With his diabolical cunning and cruel intellect, Clockwerk remains one of the deadliest enemies that Sly will ever know.

Sir Raleigh was born into wealth and privilege as a member of a rich and aristocratic family. However, the frog quickly found himself growing bored with his pampered life, and sought a hobby to amuse himself. On a whim, he tried his hand at piracy and gadgeteering, and quickly found both to his liking. Before long, the Fiendish Five brought him aboard as their chief machinist, where his tinkering genius rose to new heights. Ultimately, he built a Storm Machine and started using it to sink seafaring vessels, allowing him to plunder the wreckage.

Muggshot started out as a rather gangly and weak runt, which led to him getting bullied constantly by his peers. With nowhere to turn to for comfort except for movie theaters, the little bulldog quickly became fascinated with gangster films, and vowed to become one himself. He pushed himself to the limits and beyond, and by adulthood, he'd become a fearsome, hulking giant of a thug who wouldn't take nonsense from anybody. His incredible strength and penchant for dual machine guns quickly earned him a spot of the Fiendish Five, where he found his calling as their brute enforcer. A classical gangster, he prefers to run casinos and protection rackets above all else.

Mz. Ruby comes from a long line of Voodoo practitioners, and this morbid family history left her unable to make any friends as a child...that is, until she began practicing the black arts herself so she could summon undead familiars. As an adult, she began using her powers to terrorize the world that had shunned her, and it wasn't long before the Fiendish Five sought her out to twist both the laws of nature and society at once. Mz. Ruby was last reported disappearing into the jungles of Haiti, where it's rumored that she's raising an army of zombies...

The Panda King started out as a commoner in China, where he grew up fascinated by the fireworks festivals that the nobles put on every New Year. When he tried to offer his own skills in the craft, however, the Panda King found himself shunned by the nobles due to his status as "one of the rabble." Humiliated and angry, he quickly turned his skill with explosives to more destructive purposes, and soon found a position on the Fiendish Five as their demolitions expert. A bomber and martial artist, the Panda King has his own unique code of honor.

Arpeggio, a stately and aristocratic parrot, was always the brightest in class at his prestigious boarding academy...however, he was always frustrated by his inability to fly. Turning to the works of the Renaissance masters in search of a solution, the tinkering parrot steadily became more enthralled with the potential that invention had to elevate him above the rest of the world. Ultimately, this moral ambiguity would cause him to turn to crime. Once he heard of Clockwerk, however, Arpeggio soon developed grander goals...

Constable Neyla grew up poor on the streets of Dehli, having to lie and steal just to get by. As she grew older, the Indian tigress became more and more cunning, managing to scam her way into a prestigious university where she set up a private homework ring. When she was ultimately found out, however, Neyla was offered a job at Interpol, who felt that she could get inside the head of the criminal element. Charismatic and alluring, Neyla soon became one of Interpol's best, and was partnered up with the more narrow-minded Carmelita for the Klaww Gang caper. But a girl like Neyla's got all sorts of secrets...

Dimitri Lousteau used to be a promising young art student, but his experimental art style led to his rejection from the art community. Turning his artistic talents to crime, the iguana ran a posh nightclub while forging paintings, punishing the world for its bad taste. What really makes Dimitri stand out, however, is his colorful personality--inspired by rap and hip-hop videos, the lounge lizard adopts a wild and manic demeanor that makes him surprisingly popular in certain circles. On top of all this, Dimitri also happens to be the grandson of a famous deep-sea diver, and rumor suggests that he's taken his grandsire's profession to heart...

Rajan grew up as a street urchin in Calcutta, quickly turning to acting as a low-level peddler of illegal spices to put food on the table. As he grew older, Rajan worked his way up through the ranks of the spice trade, eventually becoming the primary kingpin of the spice trade in India. These days, the haughty and hot-tempered crime lord adopts an air of regal authority, going out of his way to hide his humble beginnings. A dangerous tiger to cross, Rajan will stop at nothing to avenge a perceived slight, and he's a dangerous foe in combat.

The Contessa was once renowned as one of Interpol's chief psychiatrists and prison wardens, where she used her skills as a hypnotist to "cure" criminals of their larcenous habits. However, this was actually a front for the Contessa's true motives--she would hypnotize criminals into giving up the location of their loot, them leave them half-baked shells of their former selves. As a secret member of the Klaww Gang, the Contessa helped to steer Interpol's attention away from the spice trade...all the while, the manipulative widow spider continued to advance her own sinister agenda.

Jean Bison, as a Canadian shipping baron, serves as the primary source of spice distribution for the Klaww Gang, and uses the money to fund a fierce logging campaign against nature. However, this is really more of a cultural dissonance than actual malice--Jean Bison actually hails from the days of the Gold Rush, where he was frozen alive in a snowy avalanche. Having thawed out in the modern era, the hulking pioneer doesn't quite realize how much the world has changed; and intends to pick up where he left off.

Dr. M is a reclusive and amoral genius who secluded himself on a tropical retreat known as Kaine Island--home to the secretive treasure vault of the Cooper family--driven by a maniacal resolve to make the vast fortune of the Coopers his own. However, Dr. M is driven by more than simple greed--he was once the brains of the previous Cooper Gang, having worked alongside Sly's father! However, the partnership soured as Dr. M began to feel that the elder Cooper was holding him back, and he now seeks to claim what he feels is his due..even if that means killing Sly himself in the process...

Don Octavio grew up as one of the rising stars in opera, and it was predicted that his career would be legendary. The Black Baron is a mysterious figure, as none have seen him out of his all-concealing aviator's gear. However, his skills as a fighter pilot are beyond all dispute--indeed, the Black baron is the owner of the famous ACES competition, which brings together the best and brightest pilots from all over the world to participate in high-stakes aerial dogfighting. While the competition itself is more or less on the up-and-up, there have been rumors that the Black Baron is willing to bend the rules a little in order to make sure that he remains the champion...even if that means giving himself an unfair advantage.

General Tsao is a ruthless warlord from the northern regions of China, which he rules with an iron fist. In his bid to leave his personal legacy emblazoned across the pages of history, the tyrannical rooster has kidnapped Jing King--the daughter of the infamous Panda King--to be his bride, believing that a union of their bloodlines would make his progeny unstoppable. The fact that Jing King doesn't want to marry him means nothing to Tsao--to him, the only person whose opinion truly matters is his own. Moreover, Tsao is a cruel and heartless warlord who's willing to do whatever it takes to fulfill his vision...including the act of dabbling in ancient Chinese black magic to deal with any who would oppose his grand design.

Captain LeFwee is the most bloodthirsty and dangerous pirate in the secluded waters of Bloodbath Bay, a region of the world where cultural hermits have taken up the lifestyle of the pirates of old. Styling himself as "the Smartest Man on the Seven Seas," LeFwee is as cunning as he is vicious, known for thinking a step ahead of his rival pirates. He brooks no disobedience from the men under his command, and he shows no mercy towards his enemies. In spite of all this, LeFwee fancies himself as something of a ladies' man, and can get quite flustered when his pride is called into question.
Le Paradox's Gang:

Cyrille Le Paradox is known to the rest of the world as a rich art collector and historian. The truth, however, is much less noble--he runs an international crime syndicate, using his art museum as a front for smuggling stolen treasures while replacing many of them with forgeries. But even this isn't enough for the narcissistic and arrogant skunk--having gained access to time travel, he intends to travel back in time as part of a master plan to become the most powerful figure in all of Europe! And somehow, targeting the Cooper family line is part of it...

El Jefe is a military warlord who's served in some of the most vicious conflicts across the globe. His reputation as a strategist and soldier is unrivaled, making him a dangerous adversary to have. In particular, El Jefe is known for toppling the governments of small-world nations and turning over their dominion to the highest bidder, earning him the ire of Interpol. However, the tiger vanished just as the authorities were closing in on him, with no trace of his whereabouts...that is, until the Cooper Gang found him in feudal Japan, which he seeks to conquer and rule like a dictator.

Toothpick may pass himself off as a gunslinging sheriff of the Wild West, but it's mostly a self-affected title--he's actually a modern-day mobster working for Le Paradox. Given his childhood fascination with cowboys and his penchant for gold heists, it comes as no surprise that the hot-tempered armadillo decided to head for the Old West once time travel became an option. Posing as the top sheriff in town, Toothpick is secretly hoarding all the gold that other bandits supposedly stole, intending to take it all back to the present for the biggest payday of all time...and given his notoriously bad temper and itchy trigger finger, he's perfectly willing to gun down anyone who gets in the way!

Grizz is a boisterous tough-guy of a bear, adopting the flashy mannerisms of a rapper "from da hood." He started out as a small-time thug on the streets until a passing art critic saw him spray-tagging graffiti, praising it as a work of sub-cultural post-modern genius. This got Grizz started on an art career that was as vibrant and colorful as it was short-lived--it didn't take long for people to realize that his "art" was rather limited. Refusing to be daunted, Grizz returned to crime and focused on art theft, determined to find the inspiration for his next greatest work. Behind all the toughness and violence of a gangster, however, Grizz has a softer side--part of him remembers what it was like to ice skate as a cub, and he wants to re-capture that feeling.

Ms. Decibel was born to an aristocratic family, an her greatest ambition was to become the world's best musician. Sadly, her actual talents fell far short of the mark, and she was universally panned by her critics. From there, Ms. Decibel turned to crime, using her hypnotized audiences as unwitting pawns to commit crimes for her. This unique ability soon gained the interest of Le Paradox, and he's talked her into helping him with his most ambitious crime ever...
